Does the Certification have an expiration date?

No. Your certificate will show the year you passed, indicating when the knowledge was demonstrated.

Is the certification tied to the agency or the individual?

It is tied to an individual, not an agency.

Can the exam be taken online?

Yes, exams are available online 24/7 via our provider, Kryterion. On-site testing may also be offered at select Magento and Hyvä events.

What are the system requirements?

Refer to the Kryterion Online Testing Requirements. Note: Linux is not supported. You will need Windows, Mac, or a supported Chromebook.

Is the exam proctored?

Yes, online exams are proctored by both AI and human monitors.

Where can I get training?

The Hyvä developer documentation is the primary resource. Each certification also includes a study guide. Additional training videos will be released soon.

How to prepare for taking the test?

Before starting, review the Online Proctored Guidance for Webassessor. Ensure you have a clear desk, as the proctor may ask to see your surroundings.

Can certifications be purchased in bulk?

Yes, multiple exam vouchers can be purchased on our certification page.

Can I cancel or reschedule an exam?

You can reschedule an exam up to 24 hours before the scheduled time at no extra cost. Cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours in advance, or missed exams, require rebooking at full price.

What is Webassessor?

Webassessor is Kryterion's online platform, used for providing and managing our exams.

How do I schedule an exam?

1. Purchase exam vouchers on our website.
2. Visit Webassessor and create an account.
3. Register for the exam and select a date and time.
4. Apply the voucher during checkout on the payment step.

How long are certification vouchers valid?

Vouchers are valid for one year.

Is there a discount for retakes?

Yes, retakes are available at a discounted rate. Details are provided in the email you receive after your certification attempt.

How long until I can try again?

The Associate Developer Certification can be retried one day after the first attempt.
A second retry can be scheduled two days after the second attempt.
A third retry can be scheduled two days after the third attempt.
A final retry can be scheduled a week after the fourth attempt.

Note: the retry policy is subject to change.

Do I get a certificate after passing?

Yes, upon passing, you will receive a PDF certificate and a Credly Badge.

Where can I list my Hyvä Certified badge in the Hyvä Portal?

Link your Credly URL in the Account Information section of your Hyvä Account. Once linked, your certification will be visible in the Portal.
